Will the Xbox 720 work like a finely honed PC?

After the recent reports regarding a probable switch from the Xbox 360 GPU produced by ATI which is said to be moving over to AMD (a 1yr old graphics card at this moment in time ALREADY), lets just take a look at the rest of the console. Today I added an article regarding the new discussion over whether or not it will feature a drive whatsoever, which is likely to be a Blu-Ray for cost sake, though this will require a licensing fee payable to Sony.

The question that hasn't been asked yet, is whether it will perform like a finely honed PC, something that seems to have become increasingly important during Q4 of 2011 to date (2012 if you're struggling).

A lot of users will be requesting a console that won't go RROD (like the 2006 models, god forbid). Others want to see backward compatibility, a feature Sony seem to have stepped away from since the PS2.

These market 'trends' physically affect the thinking of the common gamer. Many a time I'm sure a lot of us have read a headline only to dismiss the concept as implausible, only to see it come to fruition, then see it work. It's called vision.

As we are not developing the actual console, we are mere sheep that bahh from time to time, make no mistake.

Let's take a deeper look then, into the '720' which alone makes no sense as there aren't 720 days in a year. You may as well call it the Xbox 3650 as that makes more sense. 365 days x 10 yr plan = ...... Don't worry I did it for you already.

For most, the main question will be 'Will it work like a PC?' and 'Will the parts be interchangeable and upgradeable?' which is a valid question to be honest. You can do this quite simply on a PC if you are even slightly technically minded, then if you do struggle, there are a multitude of sites available that will give you a step by step. If you really struggle, there is good old Youtube - If you can't do it then, you screwed so keep your neighbours and friends happy!

The technical specifications of the 360 were never that high. In fact, Microsoft came into their own simply via the XBL community if we were all to be honest. This released an income, to build on the consoles development and capabilities which have taken it into Netflix, Youtube, M2AF and VEVO. Without this monthly income, it's unlikely they would have persued such ambitions. The overall goal of course being a mulimedia centre in every sense of the word.

With Kinect 2 also being developed for the 360's more powerful spawn, it truly is shaping up to be a wonderful start for the X3650. Introduce Windows 8 which is expected to further gel the console / mobile / PC gaming community, it really is geared up in every direction.

To be honest with you all, there are no specs for the 3650, there is mere speculation. However with these powers fresh in your mind, spend a minute putting the package together and see the same as Microsoft have.

It truly is an awesome package when you can continue a game on your mobile after leaving your house and catching that bus or bored at work. I predict productivity will crash like Wall Street back in 1929 only this one comes with an achievement.

(sorry if you expected a set of mythical stats in there, just, we wanted you put in thinking mode)

Lets all just game on and wait for project Durango to complete!

P.S. Here's how it should work.
