Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City Part 1

I have been playing Resident Evil - Operation Raccoon City, I am only on the Third mission so this is an initial view into the game and to be honest It's a bit of a let down, as I am a massive resident evil fan. In the beginning I was trying not to compare it to previous games but it's inevitable as it happens with every game such as the modern warfare trilogy, Battlefield trilogy and also the Gears trilogy.

Maybe my expectations for the game were too high. It seems as though SLANTSIX Games, swooped in, and the classic interactions and characters of the resident evil series, has been kicked out. I suppose I should explain - well for instance the producers for some unknown reason have evicted Chris Redfield and Sheva Aloma from the plot of the game, also they have decided to do away with the classic menu where you can do such things as mix red and green herbs, refill ammo and pass items to your partner. And to be honest them actions and characters were what made the game.

I realise that I am stating more bad than good here, there will be some good towards the end. Bad point no. 2: You have several classes such as: Assault, Surveillance, Recon, Medic, Field Scientist and Demolition. At the moment I have only used Recon and I cant see what is exactly sneaky about it as you have 4 other team members following you that are incredibly trigger happy whenever you meet any resistance. Also when you get close to a target that has not noticed you're there, there is no option to take him down silently and if you do hit him with your knife its loud and takes quite a few hits to kill. By this time, his friends have already shot a considerable amount of ammo your way. As I have said I have only played as Recon so I have not had a lot of variety when it comes to the classes but I will be doing another two blogs as I progress through the game.

I did say I would state the good points in the game and they are as follows: Its called Resident Evil . . . well to be honest thats the only one I could think of. Stay tuned for more good points but don't hold your breath....
